Author Orson Scott Card
Title Shadow of the Giant

Amazon | Indigo

A complete Disaster. The Ender series was good, but Orson Scott Card's imagination is obviously spent. I guess this is another case of the author who prolonged the life of a series too long.

Every chapter, one after the other, is the same thing over and over again. In this book, lost is Orson Scott Card's ability to portray military, political, and cultural genius of the characters. Everybody is just bumbling around now and it's extremely boring. Also, not just Bean and Petra but quite a wide cast of characters are all inexplicably obsessed with babies.
