Day 1: Nayapul to Tikhedunga

View from the hotel before leaving

We're going to be seeing a lot of traffic like this for the next 4 days...

One of our last views of the majestic mountains until the local valley hides them

Beating down with a stick: making millet

Fording the river

Day 2: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani

We just climbed all the way from way down there...

...and you can still see last night's hotel from here!

At last! The mountain is visible again!

Even inside villages, the trail is steep enough that one building's floor is practically level with its neighbour's roof.

I didn't use these awesome-looking facilities

Don't know what these are but we ate 'em...

...they come from here.

And now the fish tail is visible. We're making progress.

The Donkey Way and the People Way

They are completely blocking the trail.

At the Ghorepani Inn...

...by the fire in the kitchen.

Morning 3: Up Poon Hill for sunrsise

Climbing up the trail in the dark

The sun is coming!

Day 3: Ghorepani to Tikhedunga

Goodbye, Ghorepani

This goat is getting pretty excited by the fist-pushing game

(a little too excited, in fact)

An ass ass
(ok, sorry)

Day 4: Tikhedunga to Nayapul

Goodbye, Tikhedunga

Back to the river
